Not as good as Uncharted 2

User Rating: 8 | Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception PS3
Let's get one thing straight--Uncharted 2 is my favorite video game of all time. So, I am one of the biggest fans of this series and was totally looking forward to this game ever since I heard it was going to happen. That being said, I am totally let down. I'll start with the good, then hit with the bad.

Good:
--Set designs are amazing. Probably the best graphics you will see on a PS3.
--Voice acting is still perfect.
--Game is still fun.

Bad:
--Character models are not as good as in UC2. Both Chloe and Elena look slightly off, especially Elena.
--The story is kind of weak and has holes. Not going to spoil anything, but there is a relationship aspect that is brought up, but isn't even talked about. And the main enemy's plot is unoriginal.
--Combat is easily the worst of the 3 games. The gun fights are not fun anymore, with bad guys absorbing an impossible amount of bullets before dying. Controls with the gun are clunky at best. The fist fights are stupid--it's just you waiting for the triangle or circle symbols to appear. You don't have any really affect on the outcome, it's just waiting for the cue.
--Bad guys all look the same and they are rendered poorly. When I say they all look the same, I mean they ALL look the same. Same suit, same hair, everything. And there is one big guy that is the same throughout the whole game, he just changes clothes. Really lazy in my opinion.
--They took out all the trophies and awards for single player campaigns. Not everyone likes to play multiplayer online and Naughty Dog just completely screwed the pooch on this one. There is no incentive to replay the game. In UC2, you could earn one-shot kills or infinite ammo after beating the game and earning rewards. Not this time. You get nothing. Zilch, zero, nada.
--Graphics in multiplayer are not to the same level as the rest of the game. Drake and his partners look crudely rendered. Rush job easily.

Overall:
--I am highly disappointed in this game. Compared to UC2, it is a huge step back. The game is still fun to play, but it hurts because I know it's a letdown. There is no emotional connection this time. The repetitive nature of the action is getting old too. There are just so many times you can hear, "Oh, the way is blocked. I'll have to climb around while you wait here." Clunky controls, poor story, unimaginative enemy design, and lack of single player bonuses bring this game way down.
