Uncharted 4 is a fitting conclusion to one of Sonys best franchises
User Rating: 10 | Uncharted 4: A Thief's End PS4
With Uncharted 4 being the last game in the series it had a lot of expectations to fill and it does so in fine style. Nathan Drake is thrown back into the treasure hunting part by his brother Sam who he thought had died in prison. The gameplay feels different but it still you typical Uncharted game massive battles, jaw dropping moments and excellent pacing and likeable characters. Drake has been given a few new moves in his final outing a Grappling Hook where he can swing various distances. A hook that can dig into hard surfaces to climb things he couldn't. The game doe borrow from The Last of Us like Stealth and Opitional Conversion. You get more room to check places but without completely getting lost. The puzzles are executed nicely so you always seem to get a rough idea of what your doing. What it lacks in set pieces it makes up for in scale and size. The AI is very good helping you out most of time so you sometimes they have your back and if you possess good stealth like abilities some can be bypassed which can be helped by you taking certain enemies pattern like say a MGS game. Whilist the game has multiplayer it lacks the modes 2 and 3 had but perks like Mystics, Power Weapons and SideKicks are basically similar to Kickbacks. The Revival is a chance to save your teammates. The game lets you build up a certain ability like speed or ammo capacity etc. It is the longest in the series about 12 to 14 hours espically with the exploration and great scenery to explore as well as brilliant script and to honest the game looks absolutely stunning best looking title hands down and another solid soundtrack whilst it's not a remixed Nates Theme it can certainly grow on you. Overall Naughty Dog prove again why they are one of the best in the business a brilliant conclusion to an excellent series. Whilst it nothing groundbreaking it is polished very nicely and the climbing mechanic feels much better. In the end it is just a pretty much flawless game you'd be foolish to have in your collection. Overall Score 10 out 10
