In this review, I'll show you really how good Uncharted is:covering all of the aspects from the graphics to the gameplay
Overall, if you don't want to read the review just read this: Uncharted Drake's Fortune is a really good game that has a movie flair to it. It's also immersive and you'll definitively love the characters. Despite it's short, you really should buy Uncharted Drake's Fortune, you'll get a really good game packed with a very good plot.
Graphics: Well, this is a PS3 exclusive so everyone knows it has better graphics than other games which are ports. Uncharted really looks awesome, maybe not as good as Far Cry 2, but it manages to look pretty and the water looks more realistic than in other games (except Bioshock).
Soundtrack: The soundtrack is good, it goes well with the story. It's not the best one but it's still better than in most of the other games.
Plot: 10/10 here. You're going to like the plot in this story. SCE managed to render the cutscenes with the game's engine, though the're shown as an HD movie, not actual render with the PS3's hardware. The cinematics look very good, though you might notice some hard-to-detect compressions. Anyway, the plot is very good and that's what will really keep you entertained through the game. If you're planning on skipping the cinematics, do NOT buy this game: you'll miss everything it has to offer!
Gameplay: It's the 2rd person view that you're using. It's pretty easy to control, but the enemie's falling animation is nowhere near realistic. The combat is good, but nothing past that. It's fun to play, but the gameplay isn't innovatic. The characters follow the same moves as in the Tomb Raider games, and it works pretty well!
Overall: Uncharted is a great game, although it's gameplay suffers at little bit. If you like games with a good story and you won't be skipping the numerous cutscenes, you deserve to buy Uncharted Drake's fortune.
