The answer is a collective yes. No, i'm not saying it as a big sigh of relief. The Uncharted we all know and love transitioned almost flawlessly to the new Playstation console. From the environment to the exciting firefights, there is nothing that the Uncharted faithful will miss out on and it almost gives a console-like experience on the go with the two analog sticks. While there is no multiplayer of any sorts (which is a bummer), the game stands on its own with a compelling and immersive story-line. Others may disagree, but the story-line was pretty good to me. Of course, along the way, you collect treasures and take pictures which you record down in your journal and learn more about history. The boys at Bend Studios also took advantage of the Vita's functionality. The front and back touch screen and the motion controls are implemented in this game but not all works perfectly. But still, it is a great effort and one that supplements the game when you need it.
Summary Uncharted: Golden Abyss is a pretty darn good game for a launch line-up and one that transfers the Uncharted aura to the portable. However, if you are not a fan of Uncharted, you might want to think of investing your $50+ into some other games.
Pros - Nice and compelling story - Console-like experience - Second analong (FTW)
Cons - No multiplayer or Coop :( - Secondary functions is sometimes a pain to do
