While Unreal Championship is a sweet game for Xbox, it really would be better buying Unreal Tournament 2003 for PC
Unreal Championship is a fun game because of this. Blowing the brains of your enemies never gets boring, Capture the flag is immense and Epic (the developers) certainly know how to be innovative with games like Bombing Run and Domination. The only thing that makes this better is doing it to your friends which is more than possible thanks to Xbox Live. So the gameplay is more than cool.
However there are problems. The game has some wonderful visuals, even if they are toned down in comparison to the the PC, but the game has a choppy frame rate. The speed of the game can go from being fast to really slow. Another issue is that quite a few of the maps are missing, and that most of the ones present tend to be quite small which is disappointing.
And it is obvious the game has been ported quickly due to how poor the control of the game actually is. There will be many moments when you'll be shouting in frustration at how slow the turning of the controller actually is. So with these issues in mind you would have to be careful when considering to buy this game. While Unreal Championship is a sweet game for Xbox, it really would be better buying Unreal 2003 or even the newer ones (if you can run them on your PC) since the port of the game is poor.
So buy it if you really have to, there is a patch that fixes these issues, but for most gamers it will be unbearable. Unreal Tournament 2003 is a much cheaper and more fun of a game than Unreal Championship and not many machines should have trouble playing it. So for that reason, it's best avoiding Unreal Championship.
