Untold Legends. It is a satisfactory RPG btu it could have been improved so so much.
The story is uninspired as you begin the game as a champion, protecting various worlds, killing enemies, buying armor and weapons, upgrading them, powering attributes, learning spells and so on. You can choose as a Spellcaster, a Knight, a Berserker or a Druid. Different characters have different abilities and weaknesses. The enemies are bland without much innovation and the items are bland with no zazz or oomph. Your classic sword, staff and axe collection along with a few spears, stars, javelins and enchanted weapons here and there. The armor is bland. Not much oomph or sparkle to them. Just basic, bland armor with no innovation. The gameplay isnt particularly excellent with the same repetetive moves and spells. You level up every now and then which offers some if not little customization to attributes. You can power up your items with gems or special stones to make them more powerful but this is not very beneficial. The appearance customization is bland and dull. The graphics for this game on the PSP do not make good use of the PSP's amazing graphical capapbilities. The framerate can get unstable, the loading times are acceptable and the missions are dull with no story line. The music is dull and bland and the sound effects are so screechy.
It could have been hugely improved. More innovation and neat creation to items, a few minigames to earn money wouldn't hurt, some better graphics would be good, some better gameplay thats for sure, and maybe some new RPG abilities. And definitely a better story.
Good points:
Quite long story mode, lots of items to collect, lots of armor and weapons for customization, definitely an RPG. Cheaper price.
Bad points:
Graphics are disgusting, gameplay is repetetive, lame customzation, no minigames or innovation, no super cool items. Uninspired story, no new RPG elements, sound is just plain bad, frame rate is weird.
Bottom line:
Get this game if you want. It isn't all bad. It is actually cool when you start it, but it will wear out soon and become lame. So it is worth a rental. Not a purchase.
