I finally got around to playing this game and I have to say that it is not as bad as most of the reviews are saying. It really depends if you like these type of Hack & Slash (H&S) games or not. The storyline is very simple: Evil king has gotten some great evil power from a dark priestess from another dimention and is using it to control and conquor everything. You can select one of 3 characters, Mage, Warrior or Scout and slash your way through several levels in order to puit an end to the Kins reign. The warrior is big and slow but packs a punch, the mage is more for range and area attacks and the Scout, the female that I picked to play, is the best of both words. She is very fast and can use magic as well as attack for big damage.

Gameplay is also simple, using a combo of moves to slaughter your way through small enemies at first, then massive Bosses and beast like creatures later in the game. Most of the time you will be button mashing with the occasional blast of magic to clear the area. Since I love to mindlessly slaughter countless enemies, I really enjoyed playing this game. I would be surrounded and boom, blast them with an area attack and hunt them down while they try to get off the ground. Most combo attacks are easy to use and just knowing your enemies attacks will make it easy to dodge or block. Yes, you will die a ton of times, but there are so many save points around that you will find that the most you will have to replay is about 5 minutes of gametime lost to death.

At these save points you can purchase armor and orbs to boost your stats in order to be stronger or add special attacks you your combos. The armor you find that are dropped by enemies are usually weaker than what you would buy at save points but can be sold. Fountains of health, mana or money can be found everywhere so there is no shortage of anything in this game because the enemies are ruthless in their attacks. The worst are the Mages and crossbow enemies. They never stop firing at you until you kill them.

Bosses are realatively easy to beat and you can sit back and fire magic at most of them. At the end of the game I was so strong that I barely lost any energy and killed the King in 5 minutes. The guide said it was the most difficult battle in the game, it wasnt for me. I guess my stats were too high.

Overall the game is a blast to play if you need to let off some steam or you just really like slashing through big enemies. I found myself cheering at the screen everytime and baiting enemies so I would find more fun ways to kill them. The Bomb magic was the best... plant one and if an enemy gets too close, then all explode and fly everywhere. Give this game a try, it should be found pretty cheap now anyway.
