Of all of Square's games Vagrant Story was the most overlooked one from there collection. I believe that most people were not able to grasp the ideas and creativity they used in this game. It had a unique dimension battle system new to RPG genre that discouraged many fans. My friends even had a hard time with the new direction the battles took in this game although after an hour or so they are easily able to be grasped and mastered. For those that dont know what im talking about VS uses a battle sphere system that allows you to attack various parts of the body (Head, Chest, L Arm, R Arm, legs) which creates different statuses if certain areas are repeadtly targeted. A great system once mastered. The main story follows our Hero Ashley Riot and his trip to Lea Monde to investiage a cult and there leader Sydney Losstarot for the murder of the Duke Bardorba. But when he arrives to late he is suspected of the murder and must clear his name to save himself. In this game you will find an incredibly deep story, great music, tough fights, Immense weapon creation and custiomization and one hell of a replay value sure to keep you coming back over and over again to learn all the secrets of Lea Monde. Enjoy one of Square's best games to date and Happy Gaming!
