You certainly get your moneys worth here but- gets dull quickly due to a lack of thought.
If you have played the previous Valhalla knights you will instantly regnoise your hometown (the only town) which has an inn were you can heal and save, a church, were you can ressurect dead party members, a guild, were you can take quests, do the colleseum (I'll speak about this later) and also recruit party members.
Recruiting members is great fun, you can choose out of 8 races and 5 main proffesions.
Dwarf, human, elf, halfing, dogs, machines and a ninja type class, you can choose both female and male for all, you can also customise their faces and hair style (you have a choice of like 9)
Whatever race you choose will obviously effect you/your party members appearence and your basic stats
For proffesions you have fighter, mage, preist, monk and theif, depending on which one you choose you will get stat bonuses in certain skils, for example, if you choose monk you will get more HP and ATTACK.
There's also hundreds of armors and weapons which are perfectly done, I've heard there are over 300 items and 200 weapons and armours, when you equip armor and weapons to your character it will appear on them, which is a great feature as you really see the growth of your character.
As you level up your gain points to spend on your stats and you can change your proffession without your stats decreasing like in Valhalla knights 1.
When it comes to graphics they're ok, the one thing which really ticked me off was the running...
At first it seems like your character is running in three foot of sand... it feels slow.. fortunately most areas and maps are small and you do get used to it eventually.
I reccomend checking out videos and images if your picky with graphics.
Sound is very similar to the first game, don't expect much special about the BGM and there are no character voices which is very sad because it does make your characters personality seem... dull.
But dot fear, BGM is not annoying at all and the music shouldn't really effect your decision to buy this game.
Story is interesting, bassicaly your in a war against the godess and since it's been 1000 years since a brave warrior fought her, people should now be able to kill her.
Your character plays the role of a group of people who fight against the godess and monsters.
Combat is smooth, when you walk into an enemy in a dungeon you go into combat mode where you can move freely, lock your target and attack.
To use magic is a bit of a rush, you have to press triangle and it brings a menu up... which gives you choices to switch the party member your choosing or cast magic.
I found the combat fine myself and it hasn't bored me yet.
There isn't much else to say, there are tons of quest and paying £15 for over 40+ hours of quests and lots of fun customisation is alright, so.. I decided to give Valhalla knights 2 a 6.5, not the best game in the world but you get a lot for your money aswell as a great RPG with a constant feeling of growth in your characters, only a few things knocking it back such as how the quests all seem the same and you can't warp to certain dungeons making you walk for half the game...
Hope this review helps, thanks for reading.
