Something to keep you occupied, most probably if you like Monster Hunter, you'll like this game.
The good thing about VK 2 is that it doesn't "nag" all that much, a nice FMV intro, a bit of dialogue and you'll be thrown into the heart of adventure in...about 5 years time (but not literally, of course). There's a bit of storyline here but I won't bother going into details.
If you're a graphic "enthusiast" then I personally think that the graphics aren't that shabby (I have yet to see magic animations, so I can't really vouch anything for that), nice, slightly jagged 3D-rendered graphics, no complaints in this department.
The battle system is pretty much basic it's like any other real-time RPG, when fighting alone it might seem a little overwhelming but over time you'll be able to recruit all(ies) at the guild, so battles will be bit a more fun and engaging. When going into fight, you'll have to "touch" your foe and you'll be transported into a battlefield and the rest are pretty obvious.
The customization aspect of this game is pretty vast though, there's a lot of weapons/armors/equipment to don your characters with, and there's profession to top it off, there's the Monk, Mage, Fighter and the like. If you love this kind of stuff then VK 2 would be the ideal choice.
Though, of course it's subjective, you won't like whatever I love and vice-versa, do a bit of research, watch some videos, draw a conclusion, read some more reviews then grab a copy.
Personally, I've no regrets.
