Next-gen slant on a turn based RPG
The game follows a set path, there is no deviation or side missions (other than skirmishes, which are repeatable combat missions). But the story is good and with the main characters having such quirky characters you soon start to feel part of the team. To the point where you don't really want them to die.
Each mission has a set of objectives (limited number of turns, key team members are alive, something destroyed or captured). As the commander you have a limited number of action points to use and ordering say a scout to move and shoot costs one, where as moving and firing a tank takes two.
The missions themselves are well crafted, and extremely addictive the starting missions are simple enough to act as a tutorial and they ramp up at enough of a pace that you never really become overly powerful. Strategy is key in this game and this is the meat of the game.
Well recommended this to anyone that likes strategy/tactics RPG games
