Great story, great battle system, and a lengthy game make VP2 a must own!!!
Gameplay
I like the new battle system in VP2 because you have more movement going on and the battle fields are a lot bigger as opposed to VP. It's nice to see that Tri-Ace kept the button-mapping feature for the characters and that the combo system is still intact. I'm not sure if the team feature while in battles is useful since I have never used it, but I'm pretty sure if I did I would have an easier time during battles. Overall, the battles are fun and faced pace. The 2-D portions of the game are just like the first, full of puzzles and enemies of course. The gameplay shines overall. Grade:A
Story
The story took awhile to kick into high gear, but once it did, it was pretty good. Lots of twists in the story that should keep you guessing. The story is even better because the voice acting is actually decent, with the exception of some lines of dialouge that sound flat. I'd say the story is another strong point of the game. Grade:A
Audio
The music throughtout the game fits so perfectly, especially the battle music and the boss music towards the end of the game. Each enviroment has music that goes just right with it and it helps to immerse you even more. The voice acting as I said earlier is decent, but it could have been improved. Grade:B
Value
All in all VP2 is a worthwhile buy if your a fan of the original or if you want to experience a fast paced RPG with a unique story, unique characters, and a lengthy quest. A must buy game for any RPG lover!!!!
