vp2 isnt your standard turn based rpg. it has a lot to offer and does pass the first game, but it also has its lackings as those who have played the first game will notice that one major thing that vp2 doesnt have are the side stories of the einherjars on how they died. but instead its more of a you get them through a sword or whatever weapon they use, and thats it. no story, no background, thats it. but aside from that the game itself is amazing. graphics make vp2 one of the best looking rpgs on ps2. musically the soundtrack is okae. but there is one bgm that's good. its the bgm at the dungeon of the palace of venerated dragon. love that guitar. but thats just me.
item hunting is here too for the hardcore rpgers. weapons, armor and the accessories from monsters which can very take your time since there is quite a lot of them. bonus bosses are here too, with the majority in the bonus seraphic gate near the end of the game. and should you complete that several times, aside from the fact you'll get characters you can use, you'll get the best weapon in the game. as hardcore vp1 fans know what i mean on how long it took them to take it. expect vp2 to take a lot of your time should you take your time with it. and if you do. you'll enjoy it as i have.
