Easily one of my favorite games. Ever.

Set in White Wolf's epic universe, 'World of Darkness', Vampire: the Masquerade is one of those gaming marvels in which you can easily sense the love that has gone in producing this niche game.

Not everyone has heard of the arrogant, "strictly-business", Ventrue, the beautiful, humane Toreador, the horribly disfigured, skulking. Nosferatu or the utterly insane, demented Malkavians. These are four of the seven possible vampire clans that you get to choose from.

The game sets you as a vampire during the final nights of a modern, gothic America. Many kindred seem to feel dread in the air as the world draws closer and closer to an ancient prophecy which says that the very eldest of ancient vampires will awake from their deep slumber and feed on their children.

You will find yourself in Los Angeles, America, as a freshly turned vampire. With your sire (term for a vampire that turns a mortal) dead and a completely foreign world you must adapt to, you are left on your own.

The Masquerade is a system of law that is supposed to bind all vampires, lest humanity might one day find out about the supernatural world that is going on right in front of their nose. Your sire broke this 'Masquerade' by sireing you without being granted permission by the local 'Prince'. A ruler of a city or domain.

The unfortunate consequence of this particular offense.. is death. And now you are alone. For you were supposed to die with your sire the moment it was understood that they had turned you without permission.

You are not without hope, however. The Prince of the Los Angeles vampires have given you the opportunity of redemption.
And as Prince Sebastian LaCroix of the L.A gives you this chance of redemption, you will slowly unravel the mysteries that is vampire lore.

You had never known the mere existance of vampires until the fateful evening where you were turned. And now you must face the World of Darkness alone...

With an incredible, branching story line, top notch dialogue, great action found in the combat system and plenty of experience points to spend, you are in for one spooky ride!
