VANDAL HEARTS IS A LITTLE CHILDISH IN ITS PRESENTATION BUT WORKS WELL IN ITS MECHANICS

User Rating: 8 | Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment PS3
Overall: This game is 8/10 just because it is fun to play.

Graphics: The story line graphics rival an atari game. The gameplay graphics are unremarkable but not tough on the eyes. For the most part this is the area that could use the most improvement in a day and age where games are visually stunning this one is almost comical in its' shortcomings.

Sound: Kanomi really should have done some voice acting for this game. Better get your reading glasses out cause theres a lot of scripting to read.

Player menus: These are set up well and the user interface plays a big part in the overall experience. I like the interface and in conjunction with the combat engine it makes for a good package.

Storyline: Rather interesting albeit adolescent. Its done like the anime genre, childish and tacky. If taken with a grain of salt it can be overcome.
Learning curve: 5 minutes you will be a pro. Very simple controls.

Playability: This is where this release excels in my opinion. It makes up for all the bad stuff when we look at this facet of the game. Very fun and the gameplay will hook you if this is your genre of game. Being a fan of TBS RPG's it got me hooked quickly.

So in conclusion this is a 16 dollar game and you get 16 bucks worth out of it.
Maybe some DLC would help sweeten this better than average releases worth.
