Velvet assassin is a stealth fps game in the same class as the Thief series. Beautiful graphics on highest resolution. The storyline makes no sense, jumping from past to present (future? --i don't know...) and adds nothing to the game. The levels are utterly contrived -- you know, where there is one path you can take so you plod along. And even when the map is seemingly open, locked doors and keys preclude you from taking you own path. And even when the map is wide open you will end up looking at the path of enemies and deciding that you have to kill this guy first, this guy second and that guy last; which is where you will spend all your time in this game. That, and trying to find weapons, which your enemies are armed to the teeth with, but mysteriously you cant loot guns or ammo off their corpses. Whereas I liked the Thief series, in the end I felt this game was a giant waste of time.
