A total rip off, with all the good stuff ripped off and thrown to the garbage bin
I will not go in depth with this stupid game since after 10 minutes of gameplay, you will understand what that means...
I believe there is a story somewhere but I couldnt find any, but you dont need to bother since all you need to do is... well crouch, use the knife then walk somewhere to do something.
The story is missing but I have to admit the atmosphere is pretty good, it is dark, moody and depressive but after a few minutes of frustration you forget about the mood and stuff...
Our hero is Violette Summers, an english (I believe) spy who infiltrates, blows up stuff and kills people... That is all you need to know.
The graphics look good but the depth, the game mechanics suck big time. Such as you can not walk, you can jog, run or crouch (for stealth purposes) so in order to stay unheared, you need to press the stealth, crouch button ALL THE TIME.... There is no toggle button so you may get a stone and put it over the stealth button in order to save finger cramps and frustration...
The experience system is a mess, you need to collect trinkets, no sorry useless pieces of junk in order to get xp and upgrade your skills, oh and there are tons(!) of skills to upgrade, such as stealth, health and morphine... Morphine is something to be used as a bullet time in the game so you can run around in a night gown to kill people... Yea it sounds ridiculous but it is the truth... The xp you get doesnt get over to the next mission, so if you need, say 1500xp you need to find 15 different stupid useless junk (no not trinket :) ) in one mission in order to aquire 1500 xp...
Ah also there is one huge HUGE beautiful (!) thing in the game, you can NOT shoot light sources... Yea you heard it right, instead you have friendly neighborhood fuseboxes to break so that a certain lamp goes off... The better part is that AI doesnt respond to that, the light goes off but life goes on for the stupid AI... Also the AI doesnt respond to shadows, so if you walk past a light source and a gigantic shadow is cast on the wall, the enemy look right in the shadow but doesnt even get curious about the thing that is casting the shadow there :)
so, all in all, there is one good thing about the game, the female character, she looks good :) that is all... So if you like stealth games, stay away from this game, go play splintercell series, thief series and such... This game is nothing but a waste of time, it is an insult to all the stealth loving gamers....
