It's no fight night but damn it's a fun game.
Based on a Manga which was then translated into an Anime. Which the main character is a young man named Ippo. You'll combat a whole lot of different other boxers in the ring via the story mode. The cutscences are long and plenty, with no voices. Japanesse or English all the text have to be read and the words are tiny. That kinda sucks. My only other gripe is the character models. Some look good and some looked like they took too many headshot uppercuts. But that's in the cutscenes. The graphics and animation during the boxing is awesome. Getting used to the controls maybe be a little awkward at first but it should not take long. Each button represents your lefts and your rights. You are able to sway back and forth duck under attacks. Pure boxing motion. Knocking someone out is very satisfying.
The music and sound is awesome. Even though a lot of the music is recycled from the 1st entry. But still it sounds good.
All in all it's a good game. And hey it's $10.00! Pick it up.
