Exactly what I was thinking - people still playing this?

2.6 million people are still playing counterStrike?

I grew up playing CS, remember playing 1.6 late in the office with my co-workers. But couldn't get into GO a whole lot, still go back to playing Source when my and my brothers are needing a good game to dive into for a night.

I preferred Rogue Spear on the Zone or Gamespy. Those were great times laddering on Clanladder.com

fps games are all the same. all. always the same thing. the reason cs was good was because it was a new concept. I also enjoyed unreal series. nowadays people just get all good ideas and transform them into fps games where you just point and shoot.

still the only multiplayer shooter i care about. That im stupidly addicted to. If you start playing Competitive mode 5 vs 5, its over, no other MP FPS will matter to you.

If youve only played Global offensive just casual mode and you think CS is sht, try competitive mode, it completely kicks a.s.s

No doubt. CS was great, but it's aging system makes it hard to play for anyone but a die-hard fan. Same with Quake. I spend hundreds of hours on both but it's time to move on. I'd love to see a NEW CS, maybe Vegas?

I play CS:S regularly since 2005. 9 years and I still have the same excitement everytime I join a server.

Yeah its still cool if you're still running windows 95 and using answering machines....you will read this comment in 20 years from now when you're introduced to the internet.

Still my favorite FPS Multiplayer series.

I'm pretty much the only pc gamer amongst my circle of friend though. And the only one who bothered with CS... and as for some jerks... 90% of the people i met in CS acted like this. One even gave me his adress because he wanted to fight out the argument like "Men"

So no... Buying CS is the biggest mistake i've made gaming wise. And i will always consider CS players a lower form of humanity. (Elitist f*cks)

Disagree to be honest, If you end up on a western european Server (either dutch belgian or german in particular) you have more people telling you to get cancer than there are chernobyl jokes...

Uninstalled it recently purely because i got sick and tired of 30 year olds acting like they're 10 and have just discovered the words cancer and fagg*t.

CS is a plagued damnable cestpool where the worst people ever seen in online gaming (and i'm including the screaming cod kids in this) come to meet... and insult the hell out of eachother.

Nice job including the clip of Friberg's 4-frag from Dreamhack Summer. That play was amazing.

It's very nostalgic. I do like the new custom maps people come to. I wish they'd add different things to stand out.
