as I said from what I saw on demo this game will end at rate of 7=good but Fable 3 = great + Fallout New Vegas that means great fail for Arcania wont play it till 2011 but I will someday... I liked it... Graphics are not great for me it just has a good lightning effects... texture does not have normal maps... and the game lags without any reason....
Looks almost like Two Worlds gameplay, only with a Teen rating. Too bad, it might have been better if they pushed it up to Mature and added some nice bloody effects.
Hmm this looks awesome the only other game that peaks my interest and I hate saying the very name of it Two Worlds 2, I'm in the air since both have yet to release much of anything, but I'm leaning to Gothic 4 since I bought the 1st two worlds at launch however their marketing is hilarious how they trash talk the first two worlds.
I've played Gothic 1,2 & 3 and loved them despite the bugs. The addons were pretty much unplayable. I am hoping that since the series is moving to the console that the bugginess of the past will be gone. Comparisons to Demon souls are all wrong, they are totally different types of games. Gothic is like Oblivion which frankly bored me. The gothic story lines have alway been more interesting and have a quirky sense of humor. The open worlds created in these games are beautiful and fun to explore and the creatures are some of the best arround. It has the best Orcs of any game out there.. I'm really looking forward to this game with high hopes of a more technically polished product with the same gameplay and story depth. Just haven't made up my mind if I'm going with PS3 or PC. Since it's played from a 3rd person perspective I will probably go PS3 since these games take long hours to play through and I would rather sit on my couch than at my computer. However graphically the PC crushes the PS3 & Xbox so it's a tough call. Anyway stop with the Demons souls comparisons, it's apples and oranges.
I was very happy to see a release date for Gothic 4 . Hopefully the have addressed the technical issues that made such a mess of Gothic 3. I've enjoyed them all, even though it took some effort to get Gothic 3 to run properly.
i hope they made some changes about the thing when you get killed that you dont need to start all the way from the begining if you forgot to save, that sucked very much in the old game....
@masterleechan dude nothing wrong if its demons soulish, those dive rolls looked like DS too haha but man thats a good thing, ever since i pwned DS to level 220 I have been itching for DS2 but since that's not announced yet i''ll take this. We could use more games like DS.
Like Demon Souls? Hahahaha. If anything it will be like the previous 3 Gothic games that came out years ago or even Oblivion, but Demon Souls? That's laughable.
@masterleechan i really hope it is, cause i cant get enough Demons Souls xD this game looks cool. i like the "realistic" (if that makes sense?) RPG's like that. i also like the really hard ones
lame trailer, why the slowmo? it just gets on my nerves. lol anywayz, this game looks like a not-so-dark Demon's Souls, which can be a good thing, since Demon's Souls is such a wonderful game. Hope they use DS as an example and don't mess up with clumsy controls or battle mechanics.
Unfortunately this game looks liike a poor man's Demon Souls. Though i like the open world concept, they really need to refine the look and feel of the combat and motion.
elozl: Its Spellbound that are making it. So we can hope. But its still going to be a graphic heavy game. You will need a several hundred dollars graphics processor to have medium to high settings. Looking good and requiring a beefy PC is not a bug in my opinion.
