I can only imagine you are confusing those Diablo styled Dark Alliance spin-off games to the proper, actual Baldur's Gate cRPG franchise. While those 2 console games were fun enough in their own right I suppose, they really shouldn't be associated with or have the Baldur's Gate name in them IMO.

@forester057: Looks exactly like a Balder's Gate game.

@forester057: It's an enhanced version of the 1998 games widely considered two of, if not THE, best RPGs ever made. It's running on that engine. Not sure how you could judge it negatively for that. It's not pretending to be a modern game, and this expansion has a lot of people looking forward to it because it fills in the gap between the first game and the second.

@forester057: You would be surprised how many people love infinity engine games.
