In case anyone didn't already know, if you felt similarities between Deathstroke and Deadpool from Marvel, that's because Deadpool was created about 10 years after Deathstroke by artist Rob Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza. Liefeld was a big fan of Teen Titans, and when Nicieza first saw Deadpool on paper, he said "This is Deathstroke from Teen Titans." He took it one step further and named Deadpool Wade Wilson, after Deathstroke's Slade Wilson, as an in-joke.
Until I saw Deathstroke would appear in the new game, I had never heard of him because I don't follow DC. When I saw the similarities in the name and the look immediately my mind goes "Deathstroke is just a complete rip-off of Deadpool, DC just needed a ninja.." but before I discussed this heated opinion with anyone, I educated myself so I could have an informed opinion, and realized Deadpool is a self-admitted rip-off of Deathstroke. Imagine if most human beings did a little research like this before going on their dumb ass rants based on hearsay and popularity.. wouldn't THAT be neat?
all i can say is that I have this pre ordered because I loved all the Batman games, the comic books, the movies, and the cartoon shows. i LOVE Batman, no doubt but who really is Deathstroker. with the game have the BIO on villains like Arkham Asylum and Arkham City did... because i do not remember deathstroker to well. no disrespects.. he is an awsome villain but i dont remember him.
@videogamer008 Deathstroke is a mercenary who is originally a villain for the Teen Titans. He's not really a major "Batman villain" but the story is Black Mask puts a hit on Batman and Deathstroke is trying to collect the reward....by killing him.
thank you very much.... when i was watching the teaser trailer i was scratching my head asking myself"now did i see him before." hahah i always talk to myself... thank you for telling me that... appreciated it...
@videogamer008 Not to be too much of a downer but in case you didn't realize, this Batman game is being done by a different developer. Which is usually a cause for concern.
This one is being done by a lot of the people who made Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Prototype 1 & 2. Not bad games by any means, so hopefully it will turn out as good as the first two.
I know this is just a CG trailer but i have to say it does get me excited for the final game. All they need to do is redesign Deathstroke's outfit. he looks like he's on Armor or a robot suit.
i'm sure at E3 they'll show off actual game play footage.
This is a game when batman was just starting, hence the title Batman: origins. Batman didnt have enemies like the joker or two face until later into the batman story arch
oh look, snow :D. God Arkham really needed a weather facelift. They won't dissapoint. They know how much's at stake here. Deathstrokes' suit looks fantastic.
But wait should this have "Arkham" in the title as it's a different studio. And it seems that the character models builds are based on Netherlands(WB) Injustice universe and not the Rocksteady universe. A true fan would know that is not "Deathstroke" just the Mortal Kombat ninja hybrid Deathstroke (yuck)
@KUNG-LO it's definately tethered to the Arkham series we've played they've said that much, most notably IMO the early outlines of the gameplay(sorry forgot which article I'll try to find). As for how close the material is to Injustice I have no clue.
@sknight175216 Yeah the ugly Mortal Kombat version of Deathstroke. I hope they change it before the game is published. He looks like a robot not a bad a$$ merc master killer that he should be.
That reminded me of the Green Arrows instructor fighting Deathstroke on the tv show. Similar moves, very cool. To whoever is making this game please optimize this to its fullest extent on PC.
As a lover of all things Batman I REALLY hope this game is going to be as awesome as the other two Arkham titles. Looking forward to completing my Batman Trilogy!
