Battlefield 5 Tackles Soldiers Erased From History In War Stories

This Battlefield 5 War Story focuses on soldiers who fought for the French and were subsequently scrubbed from WW2 history. Captured on PC.

One of the missions in Battlefield V's War Stories single-player campaign, Tirailleur, focuses on soldiers from Africa who fought for the French during World War II. You might not have heard of this group, and that's because they were largely erased from history.

DICE's Battlefield V aims to shine a light on untold or forgotten stories of World War II, and the Tirailleur mission is part of this. As you can see in the new gameplay video above, the mission includes a number of dramatic sequences, including a big-time battle at the end.

The other War Stories in Battlefield V are called Nordlys, Under No Flag, and The Last Tiger. They are anthology stories about World War II, and they can be played in any order. Each of them is vastly different. For example, Under No Flag puts you into the boots of a British SBS soldier, while you play as young woman in Nordlys, which is set in Norway. The Last Tiger, meanwhile, sees you playing as a Nazi tank crew member.

Battlefield V also of course has its standard multiplayer mode, while a 64-player battle royale mode called Firestorm is also included. The game launches on November 20, but you can play it a little early with EA Access.
