This list is retarded and makes no sense. Case in point: who the f*** played the jenny mccarthy game? If gamespot thinks "everyone" played that game, they have lost touch with gamers completely.
Whoever made this is brain damaged. The only one on there that might actually belong is FFXIV with the "heroic character" struggling to kill what appears to be a rat. Oh, and the Jenny McCarthy game...but that was obvious. AVP took steps backwards in terms of control for sure. I loved being able to pounce freely as an Alien on AvP 1 and 2. All of the melee system changes, including the auto-aim dumbed it down as well. Does it belong on this list though? No. The AJL mod on AVP2 is still far better. I wonder if people still play that...
I gave AvP a shot with the 3.99 or 4.99 it was on Steam last December... I think only the horde type game was slightly amusing for a while. In spite of the bad news from PC player reviews (our peers, I don't read critic reviews anymore) I was hoping that the Marine campaign would be fun. But no. I've never played a game that was such a quick turnoff, everything from design of levels to lighting and the way the combat moves, just terrible. MP modes are uninspired as well, you'd think there'd be a bona fide survival mode so you could do the Aliens re-enactment, just against AI or players even, sentries and all. It's not like it hasn't been done, the original AvP games were great, now this game took gameplay 2 steps backwards, only upped graphics. Deserves this list.
Lost Planet 2 was a good game that fell under the radar due to websites like this one giving it mediocre reviews due to its difficulty and unorthodox game mechanics. Its sales were extremely low on account of it, so I don't see how it's even nominated. It should have its own category: "Worst Game Because Our Reviewers Sucked At Playing It"
AVP is great on pc, underrated and gamespot should be ashamed because they nominated this game for the worst game of 2010 list. Rebellion is not a great developer, i know, but AVP games are always great with Rebellion, i normally agree with Reviewer Kevin but AVP did not deserve this. And the worst part is; people (users) that bought this game looked at gamespot's review and suddenly they also hate the game. Review sites influence the users and that sucks balls . I never agree with reviewers if i think a particular game is great, in the beginning Kevin influenced me and i sold AVP but now thanks to steam sales on pc i bought it again, i'm glad i did, pc version is better.
