Borderlands 3's Zane is an intriguing character for sure, with the unique ability to sacrifice his use of grenades to equip two action skills at once--a trait you probably want to take advantage of. So the question is, which two of his three trees should you invest in? In the video above, Jean-Luc Seipke and Aaron Sampson talk through the operative's most useful abilities.
Zane's Doubled Agent tree is tied to his most valuable action skill: Digi-Clone, which summons a holographic decoy that both aids in battle and provides a means for Zane to escape the conflict. Eventually, this skill can be upgraded to the point where it essentially does the same thing as a grenade, and with the Old-U perk, it can be used to self-revive Zane when he falls in battle.
Both Under Cover's Barrier and Hitman's SNTNL drone are less valuable than Digi-Clone, but both contain some excellent upgrades as well. In these trees, you'll want to unlock Nanites Or Some Shite, All-Rounder, Violent Speed, and Violent Momentum. With these skills, Zane will be able to survive longer and kill enemies a lot more quickly.
If bamboozling enemies with holograms and bombarding them with drone strikes doesn't sound like a good fit for you, consider looking at one of our other Borderlands 3 character guides, which are listed below.
