lol, that part about smashing through the window, not quite sure I'd dive through a window in real life to get inside, but I can see what he meant by that.... I guess
How does assassin creed have freedom? You can run around and do nothing but collect flags in lifeless empty areas? This game doesn't even look that exciting. Looks like a rental.
Wow did you guys see how "unique" and "different" those moves were? Also, they say you're going to feel like you're in control of the character (unlike all those other games). Isn't that a sweet feature? You'll even be able to climb ladders and go through windows. And get this, you can even pull out your gun and then move.
Freedom of movement is always something lacking in most FPS games. In a game like Tomb Raider you have alot of freedom but cant play with Live players who also have such freedom, and the levels are always small, cramped, and linear. This is more like Crysis with a hell of alot more freedom to go vertical, dive through windows, climb and scale. Yes like Prince of Persia but again with still much more freedom in multiplayer or against NPCs. POP never had NPCs that could navigate the environment like you could.
Some of the concepts sound neat, but none of these videos have shown me ANYTHING worth getting super excited over. Poor graphics and clipping issues aside, considering those can be ironed out later, nothing in this game looks to bring anything new to the table. As of right now, it appears to be an old West style Drake's Fortune knock-off.
It does remind me of Tomb Raider because of the combination between acrobatics and guns (however, like you said, a lot more action in this), but the immense large scale vertical environments really remind me of Prince of Persia sands of Time, when your scaling immense towers late in the game.
the graphics and animations although good are not great, but that's not what's important, what's important is that this game looks like a hell of a lot of fun!
