too bad out of the 6 or so legendary engrams that i have gotten, only 2 have had items inside, AND BOTH WERE FOR HUNTER WHEN IM A FREAKING WARLOCK....

Nothing worse than getting a legendary engram and then "opening" it to see crafting mats. FML.

This has been patched. The drop rate is much lower now in the areas that are mentioned. I am level 24 and I got maybe maybe four green drops, and one blue, in about the 30 minutes I attempted this. Don't waste your time.

I just find it cheap that your purple engrams can turn into non legendaries. Coloured engrams should guarantee you at least get something of that colour. Also if Bungie could up the drop rate and save us many boring hours of grinding; I'd be very grateful. Having to take advantage of game design gimmicks to find good gear DOES NOT = FUN GAMEPLAY.

In The Dark Beyond, what happens if the difficult level is set to 20 instead of 9?

A Question:

Do faction reputation combine vangaurd and crucible reputation...????

If thats true it might be easier to reach level 2 in factions......

Nevertheless......there are many odd design decisions in the game...

for example the game is designed in a such a way that gaining Vangaurd reputation is easy and gaining crucible marks is easy.....which makes most people a level 2 Vangaurd with no vangaurd marks and have tons of crucible marks with only level 1 crucible reputation.......

Also doing strike missions to earn vangaurd marks is way slower than spending 10 minutes in a pvp match and getting crucible marks......i think the game in general favors pvp more in grinding.

This doesn't appear to actually work unless you use the black wax idol. Only the hallowed enemies actually dropped glimmer. Given the hordes of other enemies you have to fight to get to them, it seems like kind of an inefficient method.
(Disclaimer: When I did use the black wax idol, the glimmer gained was considerable. But idols are limited resources.)

what the video doesn't tell you is that it will take HOURS to farm these locations for anything good. Don't expect to get blue drops (or sometimes even green drops) each life.

Great people are finding and sharing these exploits...up until Bungie patches the hell out of all of these "farming" videos out there...

What weapon is he using?

Besides that this is an inherent problem Bungie will need to patch. Farming is meh w/e to each their own, however getting legendaries + engrams for killing low lvl mobs....that needs to be fixed. This kind of farming should only drop crappy lvl appropriate gear that would only be good for dismantling.

Just play missions you kill a bunch of shit anyways and get stuff anyways. I got 4 purples drops so far no farming.

Farming on purpose is so boring. If I want gear I tend to just play the game. Do a mission here and there, go exploring do a bit of PvP, I will get loot from dice rolls as I go, but just killing the same low level enemies over and over for hours is mind numbingly boring.
