Developer Demo - TMNT: Out of the Shadows

@ricmetal Human sized mutant Turtles running around fast and are ninjas trained by a Human sized and talking rat, yet you say keep it real?

Looks like Insomniac's Overstrike/Fuse but with the Turtles instead. Could be... alright. Could go either way.

Enemy A.I. looks shoddy though. When Michelangelo sneaks up on the first enemy, he turned around, saw him coming, then turned back like nothing happened.

Plus, the combat looks a little sluggish (but has variety). And the comic book cutscenes seem lifeless and a little cheap.

But still, looks like it could be fun (I hope).

A.I looks a little dumb :/ but the game has potential....

This game's looking like it's got some serious potential, but can't help thinking that a bit of extra work needed to be done on the collision detection. Seemed very disconnected in places.

I squeeled like a toddler when the garage door opened and the car came racing toward the screen.

@ricmetal i'm guessing probably to differentiate your attacks from other turtles? they seem to clip into each other pretty often during attacks, so i'm assuming it was necessary since the combat system seems actually kinda deep (combos, juggles, etc.)

this looks good, plus 4 player online campaign..

Well, if they are pulling reference from a ton of TMNT, I'm holding out hope for a hidden updated and gritty Rocksteady and Bebop fight. Sure, I they have other fights from other TMNT hench mutants from the movies of the comics I'm all for that, but a fight between the turtles and those two would bring all the begining memories for me.

....it looks like its focused on combat which is nice i think for some people......for me i really wish if it was Dark and Gory and much more Story Driven......would have been a really unique NT game......

Environment is bland and empty. Character looks are ugly, and April isn't even hot at all.

Honestly doesnt look bad its been sometime since i played a real good tmnt!! though really Keep the eyes and put em always White!!! the face are kinda creepy and you dont have to be Loyal to a damn "new cartoon" really games and cartoons specially tmnt didnt have to be exactly the same style!!! even in the colors just saying plz change the eyes they are really creepy º______º put em all White always!!!

I loved seeing how they moved with the pipes and interactive environmental pieces. I also loved the car racing out of the garage! Always had to look out for speeding vehicles. This looks like an awesome throwback and step forward! I can't wait to play it!

I was hoping for a TMNT game based on the mirage comics, oh well this will have to do I guess.

I never understood asymmetrical forces in "empty the sacks of HP" games. If it's about emptying the HP sacks, there is inevitably 1 character who does the highest damage/fastest rate/lowest cost. Since I assume the game is balls-easy, and there's no actual consequence for dying, the mini-maxed character is raph, since his slowness won't matter in a system with no consequences.

So, unless you come from a position of "flavors of winning," Raph is the dominant strategy, presuming he does the most damage.

Combos look repetitive and a little too distracting with all the weapon effects going on, AI looks pretty dumb, and camera looks like it needs some work. Glad it's on PC but seems like it needs a bit more polish to me.

Nice. I like how they all have their own fighting styles. Can't wait for the PC version!

My fave was always Michaelangelo in the old tv series. I almost feel like I need to get in on the new series to get a bunch of references though. I literally haven't been into TMNT in about 20 years, but it's great to see it back!

I am noticing a trend of people on here being pissed with the devs for the new look of the turtles, guys that isn't the devs fault, Nickelodeon now owns the ninja turtles and this is nickelodeons look. If they don't follow nickelodeons ideals for the turtles then the game gets either canned or the devs get sued either way thats bad for them. Also the original turtle design is probably owned by someone else and if they did use that then they may have been looking at lawsuits from both Nickelodeon and whoever owns the original designs.

this looks AMAZING

People are complaining about the combat being too slow motion like but I guess it'd be just too ugly having 4 chars at the same time moving all around the screen as fast as you think it should be. I think the animation feels pretty good and I really liked Mike's one specially with all that Capoeira like fighting style.

Did they mention in this video about the price for the PS3 version (PSN)? I heard on other sites that it'll cost $14.99 or $15 or w/e. Any truth to this? Also, is it true that Sony gamers gotta wait an extra month for the game? I heard September 26th, 2013 for PS3 and August 28th, 2013 for Xbox 360. Is this true? Gosh, if so- that sucks!!! I was hoping to get it this month for my PS3!! If anyone can shed some light on the actual release date for the PS3 version via the PSN and also the actual game price, I'd very much appreciate it!!! Thank you! ^^

Just what I've been waiting for, a "gritty and realistic" take on bipedal, talking turtles. People need to realize this shit is serious, superheroes are this generation's Greek mythology.

Combat is Extremely slow.... Everyone loves that feel of instant impact that smashes the enemy on every hit... they look like there getting slapped by that katana.... First glence was promissing... but i'm a bit disapointed...Thought it was gonna be a sort of batman arkham city but tmnt.... :(

IDK if its just me but the combat looks kinda slow and clunky like. The strikes just look almost like they are in slow motion at times when it should be like lightning fast for martial arts masters. Maybe its just because the animations dont seem to be the best i guess. Otherwise though this looks like it could satisfy some of those old school TNMT cravings.

will it feature any villain that is not on the new show? like rocksteady beebop, slash, toka, hazar..?

Finally a release date! Awesome to see more gameplay as well, this game literally seemed like it was in the shadows... looks awesome! I only hope the PC version gets the attention it deserves(video settings). Also hope you can zoom out a bit more on the camera, love seeing the details, but would be fantastic to go back n' forth.
