E3 is less than two months away, and now Ubisoft has revealed when and where it plans to hold its annual showcase. We want to see more Beyond Good & Evil 2, but there are other games we haven't seen much of since last year's show, including Skull & Bones and Starlink: Battle For Atlas. And of course, we know that The Division 2 will make its official debut at the show.
What else could be at Ubisoft's show? We talk the details already known and speculate on the possible announcements. Could we actually be in store for a new Splinter Cell game, following Sam Fisher's inclusion in Ghost Recon: Wildlands? How about another Watch Dogs sequel, a new entry in the Assassin's Creed series, or something to do with those dang Rabbids?! Fortnite has removed the Guided Missile again, and it doesn't look like it's coming back anytime soon. Developer Epic Games considered the polarizing feedback around the missile, in particular concerns surrounding its "fairness and strength." The Guided Missile has been benched, while Epic figures out its future. It was previously removed due to an animation glitch. Sorry, missile jockeys.
Have you ever wanted to play with a bunch of cats, but your dumb landlord/parents won't let you have any? Well, that's what pet cat simulator Neko Atsume is for, and now, it's coming to VR. The official Japanese PlayStation website revealed the VR cat game, and it's coming to Japan on May 31. We talk all about it, and the original mobile game, in the video above.
Hardware manufacturer AMD is not too happy with Nvidia right now. Nvidia's GeForce Partner Program gives board partners extra marketing support and perks if developers align themselves with Nvidia, and AMD is responding by releasing new brands of Radeon graphics cards. AMD is outspoken about its belief in PC gamers' "freedom to choose," which includes not charging people "gamer taxes" for the ability to enjoy "great experiences."
In other news, Monster Hunter: World is getting ready to receive its next free content update. This includes a new Elder Dragon, quest type, and armour sets. The new dragon is the Kulve Taroth, which is also the first target in the new quest type, Sieges. This new type of hunting quest can have 16 players in total (split into groups of four) fighting the one monster. You can also expect rare weapon drops, in addition to special materials that can be used to craft new armour and Palico gear. Lastly, there's a new Castlevania game on the scene, and unfortunately, it's probably not what you wanted. Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls was announced for iOS devices in Japan--no announcement for other regions has been made. While it features cameos from a multitude of different Castlevania characters, it puts an emphasis on multiplayer with 4-player co-op, 4v4 versus, and a Boss Rush mode.
