Both versions looked good in this comparison, with only slight differences in lighting and color palette. Another mentioned the frame rate problem of the PS4 version, and that is definitely a deciding factor.

I have the PS4 Pro version of this game and have been playing it for nearly 70 hours, and have to say that this version is the "best-looking" with 4K/HDR active on an OLED screen. The PS4 versions, however, do have what seems like a framerate problems, but after you get into the game you will forget that it's even there. It's still noticeable, but by no means ruins the already spectacular game or experience. If you are someone sensitive to the clipping, then you would be better off with the Xbox One version if visual fidelity doesn't concern you.

Hopefully there will be a fix for this apparent problem for PS4 users. Either way, the game is a must-buy for any system. It's just absolutely fun to play across the board.

Digital Foundry already took care of this and way better.

The game looks like a rezed up ps3 game. Everything from textures to animations are last gen. So one version being sharper than the other makes no real difference in my book

There is a difference but not enough to turn anyone off that buys it. The PS4 looks crisp compared to the One and because of it it shows more detail. Some details look like a smudge on the One while you can see what it is on the PS4. But both games will look good to people without a comparison.

The visual difference is quite prominent between PS4 & X1 and it looks quite bad on X1.

Without a doubt the PS4 has better Contrast and Sharper image. Also the shaders seem more pronounced also.

PS4 definitely has the sharper image. The PS4 also has a better-looking bokeh for its depth of field. PS4 is the hands down winner in this comparison.

XBox One looks out of focus. What is the video compression for this?

There's a comparison video on youtube with the pro, ps4 and xbox one. It's odd though that the ps4 actually looks better in some scenes than the pro. But maybe because I'm viewing it on a 1080p tv.

Playing this on a ps4 pro with a very nice hdr TV. This game surely boasts the most beautiful game world and combat animations to date.

Which versions of each console did they use? I have both but bought for xbox one because I intend to buy a scorpio next year. Based on this video though the xbox one version looks much worse. I haven't noticed it playing, but things are usually moving too fast for me to care.

I own both systems and usually buy Xbox for because friends for multiplayer games. But I'll definitely get this on PS4. Those vistas just aren't the same on Xbox. And traversing a gorgeous world is one of the perks listed in the reviews of this game. Kinda lose that perk on Xbox. My PS4 was needing some more use anyway lol.

If this is an accurate representation, then the PS4 version looks significantly sharper.
