Final Fantasy XV Gameplay - TGS 2014

Why are people complaining about the hair style being japanese when its a Final Fantasy game? ._. That doesnt really make sense, its not a w-rpg, its a j-rpg

Say what you will about 13 but come on.... at least there was some variety and originality in the design of the cast.

The last decent FF was VII. Before that it was VI and IV.

Despite the resolution of the video, I was able to admire the animations and lighting. I love the details in the idle animations, in which the characters don't just stand there but stretch and move their heads and do little things that make them seem more lifelike. The lighting from the rain is excellent , although it does make the leather look a bit plastic-like (maybe that's just the resolution), and the frame rate is excellent. No slow downs at all. This is the level of detail that I expect from the flagship Square game on PS4!

Just finished Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, and I loved it. The ending was breathtakingly beautiful, fulfilling and rewarding. Keeps you thinking, contemplating. Its always sad to finish a great game let alone a series. I think it ended in an excellent great tone. Btw ending CGI was one of the longest ever, and dialogue in this game were also pretty good. Now it's time to move on toward newer horizons for the FF saga. And FF XV is in my sites. Anyone know/guess a release date? And will the demo be downloadable stand alone? Man I can't wait for more FF experiences.

Between this and MGS 5, I'm very impressed with Japan lately. Actually I haven't been this excited for a Japanese game(s) that wasn't made by From Software in a long time.

if they're gonna do a tech demo on rain mechanics, they should at least not do close ups on the characters seemingly infallible hair.

Now that the X-III trilogy is coming to PC, there's a high change of this ending up on the PC as well. Although FF hasn't been nearly as good as it's prime time, these games are still pretty decent for a taste of JRPG goodness.

I truly miss the combat mechanics of Dragons Dogma and wish more games would elaborate on those... They should also take notes from the Chimaera aggressiveness and amazing A.I. from dragons dogma : Dark arisen for their lame passive giant 4-legged demon that stands there waiting to get hit. The demon is seriously retarded.

It doesn't show promise to me. I remember the first trailer of Final Fantasy 13 and what it promised, and then how when they showed the final product it was something completely different (and BORING).
