It sounds like Fortnite is coming to the Nintendo Switch. The game was rated by the Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee today. Of course, this doesn't confirm the existence of a Switch verison, and on top of that, it's unclear whether the Switch would get both Battle Royale and Save The World. We'll keep you updated as more is revealed.
If an announcement were to be made, it could happen at E3. Fortnite and Epic Games are already confirmed for the show, with a booth and Pro-Am Tournament set for Tuesday, June 12. A Fortnite on Switch announcement could come during Nintendo's E3 Direct, which is scheduled for the same day as the Pro-Am Tournament at 9 AM.
As for what's happening in Fortnite on other platforms, update 4.3 recently brought new limited-time modes in Blitz v2, Blitz Showdown, and 20v20. The latter features 5 teams of 20 players facing off to be the last team standing. Each team starts on their own battle bus, and the storm circle number is decreased from nine to six. There's a lot more and we discuss it all in the video above. Everything Fortnite leading up to E3 headlines today's GameSpot Daily, but we have a bunch of other stories ready to go in 30 minutes or less.
And now for something we definitely will see at E3. A promotional keychain for Assassin's Creed Odyssey surfaced online, seemingly prompting Ubisoft to confirm its existence with a short teaser video and one simple message: "See you at E3!" It looks like the game is based in ancient Greece, which would line up with the name "Odyssey." Odyssey is a Greek epic poem by Homer, who also wrote The Iliad--that's the story of the Trojan War, which including that big wooden horse. We'll find out more at E3.
In other news, Rockstar Games has three of its beloved titles coming to the Xbox One next week. Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas all hit the backwards-compatibility program on June 7. All versions of San Andreas will work, including the original Xbox version, though you won't be able to play whatever version you have. Every copy will be upgraded to the current Xbox 360 version, which is based on the mobile port and, unfortunately, doesn't feature the full, original soundtrack.
Lastly, we have some news on Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu/Let's Go, Eevee from Japanese magazine Famitsu. The magazine reports that aspects of the game, such as online battling and trading, will require the Nintendo Switch's online subscription service. That's set to launch in September 2018, while the Let's Go games are scheduled for November 16.
And that's what you'll find in today's show, but be sure to tune in every day of the week at 11 AM PST/2 PM EST/7 PM BST/4 AM AEST for another episode of GameSpot Daily. We cover the most exciting gaming news in 30 minutes or less.
