Forza Horizon 4 Vs The Crew 2 | Which Is Right For You?| Versus

Forza Horizon 4 is out now for Xbox One and PC, but dow does it stack up against Ubisoft's open-world racer, The Crew 2? Find out in this week's episode of Versus!

Forza Horizon 4 brings Microsoft's acclaimed racing series to the wet and wonderful roads of Great Britain and, based on our review, is "a winning, all-inclusive recipe that celebrates the joy of driving above all else." But there's another game available now that delivers more than just driving cars: The Crew 2. Ubisoft's open-world racing game allows players to tear through rivers in a speedboat and soar into the skies above America in a plane. And it does so seamlessly, at the touch of the button.

Forza Horizon 4 and The Crew 2 are two of the biggest, and best regarded, racing games of 2018, so if you've got a need for speed right now and are after a racing game, you've got a decision to make. It can be tricky to pick between them when you don't have any experience with one or even both of the games, so we're here to lend a hand.

In the video above Will Potter and Oscar Dayus, who have played both games extensively, discuss the merits of each title. By the time you're done watching, you should have a good grasp of what to expect if you pick it up either of them.

On the previous episode of Versus, Oscar and Adam Mason tackled that age old rivalry: FIFA Vs. PES. You can find out how each entry in both yearly football franchises have turned out in 2019 and which of them is best suited for you here.

One of these games doesn't expect you to fly a plane with a steering wheel...

Crew 2 is more of a stunt game. FH4 is a arcade racing game. What do you need?

The Crew 2 borrowed too much of Forza with the events and followers thing. I preferred the setup and story from the first one. The horrible rubberbanding and only being able to get upgrades from winning races (which can be a pain if your car isn't fast enough to win) doesn't help either. It's the main reason I stopped playing it actually.

Pretty easy to decide.

If you own a PC or Xbox: FH4

If you own just a PS4: The Crew 2.

They're practically the same though, isn't The Crew 2 like the other Horizons being based in an offline world unlike FH4? I got The Crew 2 at launch and have probably only played it for like 4-5 hours, Horizon 4 I got the ultimate of and have at least 20 hours already, if you're in the game for a decent open world full of different stuff to do then the Horizon Festival is where you should be, P.S I'm not even a racing game fan, only ever really liked Burnout or WipeOut ?

@alien-ouy: I wouldn't say so, I mean I've had to restart the odd race but only down to rookie mistakes lol

I'd say Crew 2 if you feel like interacting with people and be silly.

FH4 if you want to just race and have fun.

@siarhei: PPL say that FH4 is bland, no story and it's pretty much like FH3 or even worst.
