The Mass Effect games were great, but Alan Wake was amazing. I would love a sequel to that game, but I'm also looking forward to a new Mass Effect game, as I loved the weapon and gear crafting. As someone who played Battlefront back in the day, I'm cautiously optimistic about this new game, but hopeful that EA can bring all the elements together and create something memorable.

whadda ya mean there wont be space battles?!!? This day in age and they can't implement some space battles just because it would take them an extra year or so to implement and would kill their sales? I am most certainly shocked to say the least!!

quantum break looks really good, star wars bf dlc, we knew it was coming, hopefully as with battle field it ll be weapon packs for those who are pants at it or buy it later to level up. Lets hope the team focus on a great experience for us all.

@GreySeven: One of two ways--either it'll be a storyline set in a different part of the universe at the same time as the other games, or they'll do what most games with multiple endings do when they get sequels--they'll pick one ending as "canon" and go from there.

Hands off Alan Wake 2 dirty M$!

Let it be free to roam amongst the consoles and PCs...

Although I have a feeling that it may go the way of Bayonetta 2 and be secured in a platform exclusive deal, but not necessarily M$. It would be a good strategic play by Sony to pull fans to the PS4. Hmmm.

I watched the video, I think I misunderstood the claim, it's more about just solving puzzles, not them claiming the game was freeform or not-linear as I made fun of :).

i like mass effect so i'm interested in that but not the other stuff. however, that leak suggests that the game is taking place not all that long after the 3rd game. so how, i wonder, are they going to explain space travel if all the mass relays are destroyed. this suggests that the green ending is the one they went with so why give the choice in the first place

but then that is all conjecture on my part :P

@hystavito@suppaphly42: yes i was hoping for a game that maybe went way back in time or way forward, as to make these choices not matter. so the story could maintain narrative cohesion

after all it is science fiction :p

@suppaphly42@hystavito: Based on the bit i read when I paused it on that survey screenshot it takes place in another (Andromeda) galaxy and is "far removed by time and space from Com. Shepard's heroic acts". So this leaves a lot of wiggle room story wise. Not really any reason why it couldn't take place before the events really. Say for example if they had previously sent out your character on some experimental journey through some alien transportation device other than the Reaper's tech... or something. My point is this seems pretty far removed from the trilogy and the setting isn't necessarily a problem no matter the outcome a player may have chosen *cough*green*cough*

That Mass Effect stuff sounded pretty cool. I'm actually kinda excited if it turns out to be for real (maybe in part because I'm in the middle of replaying the trilogy right now). Woo! Space! :P

Never played Battlefront and not a huge SW fan so not too concerned with that, or Alan Wake for that matter.
