Microsoft wanted a game like Uncharted to try to show that Xbox1 is just as powerful as PS4. I think it will backfire. Even with Microsoft's money they will not get TR to look and pla as well as UC but we will see if the critics agree.

So Tomb Raider is no longer a timed exclusive?! Damn maybe I should go XB1 over PS4...

Would I buy the Xbox1 for the new tomb raider, the answer no. Now if they announce a new Fable game that is better then Fable3 then I'm screwed into buying another console. Now I would really like a gaming computer to The Witcher series, Portal, and Civilization, unfortunately I'm incredibly lazy.

There's no one game I would buy a console for, nevermind an XB1 specifically. When 95% of games are multi-platform, and much of the remaining 5% is based on exclusivity deals rather than first party game creation, there's less incentive than ever to own multiple platforms for the same generation. I just picked up a PS4 and ten games, and Resogun is the only exclusive among them. Nintendo makes exclusives, but they're in competition with their own past, churning out games I've effectively already played since 1985.

Think MS will be disappointed if they're counting on Tomb Raider to be a system seller. PS4 will get Uncharted so it won't persuade many Sony users. Maybe a few undecideds. Speaking for myself I have no interest in the franchise.

And Phil: I hate the idea of franchise bartering. Gamers want fewer exclusives, not more, but I guess this is where our interests conflict since you've got to make your console as tempting as possible. Sigh.

I wish the gamespot videos had subtitle option.

Buy the game? Sure. Buy an X1 for the game? Not so much.

Last I checked PC is a Microsoft platform too.

I wouldn't buy an X1 just for RotTR. It pains me to miss it, but two consoles is too much.

I'd only buy an Xbox One for actual exclusives, not timed. And even those are dwindling. Forza and Halo are about all I care about right now. Everything else is on PC.

SFV on PS4 & PC, Rise of Tomb Raider on XB1 & PC = PC wins! :P ...No won't be buying XB1 for Rise of Tomb Raider...for me its SFV > Rise of Tomb Raider/ Tomb Raider series in general...overall SF series has been a much better game. :P

Free to play is okay...some are good but others are boring as. :P

I'm picking up TR: rise of the TR on PC

I already have an Xbox One but Tomb Raider would definitely not be enough to seal the deal.

Side note, just over 2 minutes, pretty short today :).

I'd pick up an XBox One for Sunset Overdrive, Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2, Halo 5 if Cortana is in it, an the next Tomb Raider.

Payback is a (censored). Unlike most people, I was not happy to see M$ snag tomb raider and SONY Street Fighter. I knew it was going to lead to this. SONY fans better be ready for what's coming. From now on it's going to be, buy it on one console or pirate it on PC.
