Kinect is the only reason why I bought xbox... they need to keep it and advance it... they could make the best VIRTUAL REALITY SYSTEM W THIS!!!! Love the X1, only used Kinect once to see if it worked which it did.

They should have included a microphone in the gamepad for voice commands as that's about the only use Kinect seems to get these days.

To the fanboy claiming games somwhow look better on PS4.

I and many others happen to own both an XB1 and PS4 and you are simply fooling yourself if you honestly believe there is anything other than a negligible at best difference in graphics / gameplay between the XB1 and PS4.

Do you know what "negligible" means? It means the difference is so tiny/miniscule as to not even be worthy of debate.

So with this being the reality the only real reasons to chose one over the other is obviously games and other features included with the system. The XB1 is simply the way to go. I'm actually going to list my PS4 on eBay and use the proceeds for more XB1 exclusives.

Your too cheap to pay for all the added features and convenience the Kinect offers? Fine buy an XB1 without the Kinect.

The rest of us are more than happy to turn on / off our XB1 without a remote, switch from playing a game to watching TV, change channels, pause, FF, rewind shows, movies and so on via a simple voice command all thanks to this wonderful device called the Kinect.

Id rather have Hololens to support the p0rn idea. VR IMO is not what it claims to be. I can say, working in the medical field that eye Drs and specialists are gonna cash in. If you dont already wear glasses/contacts, you will soon enough.

All it takes is one functional, highly entertaining game for people to hop on the kinect bandwagon but until then it is a device best used as a bludgeoning object.

As far as the Kinect is concerned its is sad that after this long people are still so woefully ignorant of it's functionality. Kinect is an excellent tool for traversing the user interface. In fact its far faster than a controller at getting you to and finding any specific thing you want. It doesn't matter if you want to launch, search or record, Kinect does it faster than a controller. Is Kinect the most awesome game controller ever made ? Hell No! But that does not mean it's not an awesome device!

The human birth rate is going to plummet even further soon after the Oculus becomes a staple in every dude/tte's home. Fiendishly clever, League of Shadows.

there is not any reason to ditch kinect. A it is another method of navigation. B there are kinect games like friut ninja kinect that are what games should be and that is fun. C people need to stop behaving like kinect stops you enjoying a controller games because it don't. Gamespot showing there bais with there wording here

why are people asking how many p's are in Battlefront when they haven't actually seen it in action yet?

too bad for microsoft on their systems i only play controller base game. I think the creator of oculus rift wouldn't care much of what people doing, as long as he making profits on his product.

I'm not a huge Kinect fan...who is? But Fifa 15 is WAY better with kinect and feels like such a different game. I love being able to shout out to my team "all out attack" and the whole strategy shifts. beyond that, I don't use it.

I understood the complaints when Kinect was part of the only X1 SKU, but at this point why is this even news?

If MS wants to continue to provide the Kinect who cares as long as there's an SKU without it.

On a side not, funny that SONY sells the Eye for the PS4 and yet nobody bashes them/makes news out of it.

The previous generation, I had the 360 and PS3, but I just always preferred the 360 and my PS3 was just for the great exclusives. After spending $500 on something that was "essential" because the Xbox wouldn't work without a Kinect, and then releasing it months later without it, PS4 has become my primary console just on principle alone (plus games look better on it, too). Now my Xbox will just be for their exclusives and everything else will be on the PS4. Personally, I don't know how they expect to sell more Kinects if you have to shell out an extra $150 for one. $100 was bad enough!!

So they're selling Kinect at £120 and it has no games coming and no integration coming. Wow, so that's what they call support? There's no marketing, price cuts.

I'd prefer it if they just admitted it. By not supporting it, they are tricking the people who bought the console with it early on.

As much as the idea of Oculus having shall we say... adult entertainment is appealing, I don't get how it will work. One of the problems that was identified with the Oculus Rift experience early on were cases where control was taken away from the user, such as in game cinematics (think Dishonored).

Having an adult entertainment performer simply put a 3D camera on his head is not going to work.

Come on people, we need to get to the bottom of this!
