why is it that when they make an MMO RPG game that involves fantasy, sword fighting, magic, dragons, medieval ages etc. people like it.

@ezraeill @HipHopBeats @DanieltheDead Such is the way of early access, open betas, alphas, pre-alphas, doodlers, twizzlers, blah blah.


It's not just a development strategy, it's a buisness strategy as well. A lot of gamers don't seem to get it. The terms themselves hold little meaning when it comes to an actual standard. They are most of the time warped and adapted for self interest. Call something a beta, and things become acceptable. They can call it whatever they want, whenever they want.

It's about making the game a moving target. You can't complain until it's finished, which helps them gain purchases by devaluing criticism. By the time it is released in its entirety, okay, it's a failure, but look at all this money we made during it's development process.


Honestly, I miss the days when game developers were praised for making great games. Now they are praised for what they might make..eventually.

Gamespot, PEOPLE ARE BEING BANNED FOR THIS. STOP bringing attention to this and getting unsuspecting people banned just because they decided to check out what they found on a gaming website. It's absolutely INSANE that Bungie is banning people for attempting to access content already on the disk/in the game, but that's another story. For now, you need to add something in your videos/articles about how its possible to get banned by trying to check this out.
