First time in a while that I am not that excited about a Souls game....

I doubt we will see more news or footage about it in E3...

Even so.. the game looks unpromising. The engine and graphics seem dated and don't see to be any real improvement on the already dated visuals of Dark Souls 2.

If you ask me - it is a simple trendy publicity stunt: get some fan attention, call it Project something (aka Project Ogre for Kojima's Metal Gear Solid V), "LEAK" some footage, and spread some rumors...

The only thing I am excited about is: it is a PS4 exclusive, and my PS4 library is empty.

This game is a collaboration between From Software and Sony Japan Studio. There is no way that Sony Japan Studio is going to let this be multiplatform.

That's not been confirmed to be true That Sony and From software are working together.

There WAS an insider that said this is a new title by Sony and From software but tbh a lot of these insiders create rumour just to see what chaos they can course.

So until we see someone actually confirm some real details about this game we have to take it as simply "leaked gameplay of new game from From software"

Let's just wait and see what happens before we all jump the gun.

@corb77 Everyone is just hedging their bets. It's been rumored for a long time that From Software and Sony Japan are working on something together. It would just make sense that this (if it's real) is what it is.

Lots are also assuming it would be a Souls game as well. Could be Shadow Tower (hello shotgun :) ) As a "Souls" junkie I sure hope it's real. And I hope they bring back Patches.

@corb77 I'd have to say Shadow Tower:Abyss to be a little more exact. To be honest it hasn't aged very well. It's a little closer to Morrowind in terms of looks and playability (except it has guns). But if you're a fan of the dark fantasy aspects of the "Souls" games than there's a good chance you'd like it a lot.

why is everyone saying this is a PS4 exclusive , Sony would have to write FROM a big cheque for them to give up xbox and pc sales , make more sense that this is a new ip that FROM owns and they can maximize returns.

@bledsoe45sbc @eternal_napalm FROM SOFTWARE actually worked with SONY JAPAN on DEMON'S SOULS (you can read about that development and Sony's involvement). It's a good bet they've worked together again om PROJECT BEAST.

@bledsoe45sbc Because Sony owns the Demon's Souls IP. So they wouldn't have to write any check to buy exclusivity for a franchise they own. So IF this is in fact a Demon's Souls successor then FROM doesn't have much choice (except to refuse to make it of course)

Do gamespot know that this game hasn't been confirmed as a PS4 exclusive?

So why are they stating on the title that it is?

Even if this game ends up being an exclusive they shouldn't just assume it will be until confirmed.

Bad journalism IMO,should change title because it sparks rumour and gossip

Seeing as Demon's Souls was a PS3 exclusive, I'm not surprised to see this one as a PS4 exclusive.

I've been hoping for a direct Demon's Souls sequel, as I thought it was better than Dark Souls.

Sequel or not, I can't wait for this.
