Rockstar has finally unveiled the first gameplay footage for Red Dead Redemption 2--and there is a lot to see and unpack.
In a new video, GameSpot's Jake Dekker goes over the many ways that Rockstar looks to be shaking up its open-world formula with the western. As you'll see in the full video above, a big part of this is NPC interaction, which looks like it's getting a big step up with the sequel.
If you agitate an NPC, you no longer have to kill them or flee to escape the situation. In Red Dead Redemption 2, you can attempt to diffuse the situation with conversation or threats, and that could be a big deal, Dekker argued. This level of dynamic interaction also applies to your horse and other animals in the game.
