Infamous Hands-On Video Preview

now downloading demo on the ps3 network... think its almost done!!! Buying it as soon as i get the cash

inFamous is why I bought a PS3, it just LOOKS that good. It's more awesome than any 360 exclusive i've ever bought.

the demo is on ps3 network ive already played it four times and im getting it as soon as it comes out on friday!!!

I've preordered this game and I cannot wait till I pick it up. I absolutely LOVE the look of this game and I'll be downcast if it's bad.

I just saw the review of this game at IGN and I must admit it looks better than I thought, allthough it isn't as dark as Prototype it looks very good. Especially this: "If you're good, people post posters of you, cheer you in the streets, and clean up the dump the best that they can. If you're evil, people deface posters of you, hurl rocks at you when they see you, and let the city fall deeper and deeper into filth and anarchy. Will you inspire or dominate the masses? "

I still prefer Prototype, just saw a new gameplay trailer of it and it looks awesome, graphics aren't as good as Infamous, but the violence makes up for that. Just go to << LINK REMOVED >> and see the trailer for yourself.

Played the demo last night and it is tremendous fun, can hardly wait to play the full game.

played the demo. feels nothing better than bionic commando... hope the actual game will have more to offer.

sliding along the cables is a nice nod to Sly, and the improvement between Sly's cutscenes and inFamous's is staggering. it actually looks like a professional comic book except better. i'm really looking forward to this game now, better start saving up for it.

Looks incredible. I'm looking into this and Prototype and I plan on purchasing both... *GASP* I know, right... that's odd. Both games look incredible. There's essentially little of no point in comparing the two games because they're completely different titles. The only comparison that CAN be made is the open-ended aspect. How "open-ended" are these two games.

@ Hobbitslayer18 Blades, while kick-ass, are grossly overrated. I don't see the point in comparing inFAMOUS and Prototype. Just say they both look awesome and leave it at that.

I wonder how forgiving the button mashing for the quick time events in the game are, because there have been several games where these QTE's severely impeded progress and pretty much turned me off towards them. (Prince of Persia, Microwave Room in MGS4) Others were more forgiving and were alot easier. I didnt play the God of War games, so I dont follow the comparison. It would be a shame, as I have otherwise looked forward to the game.

Ive ordered both prototype and infamous, they are both great games! And if you order this off play.com you get the Uncharted 2 demo.

i like this game and i got the demo beacuse i pre-orderd it and that was good but i still think prototype will be better but not by much

Why not buy both Infamous AND Prototype. They are different games after all.

iunno man inFAMOUS or Prototype... sigh they both look good, looks like were gonna have to wait for the reviews on both of them................sigh

@skywalkerforce Okey he can also have blades but you only get that when you pre-order it, so unless it's not into the regular game I wouldn't say this guy can use transformations/blade-blunt weapons. Too bad this game is more ranged attack than melee attack, would have been more fun if it was melee based, lots of blood and guts flying around :) But like I said, I will wait till the reviews are out and then we know which game is better.

I loved Crackdown, and this seems to be the next logical step. I haven't been able to play the demo yet, but I've heard it is a lot of fun. I can't wait for this game.

I don´t understand why people use review numbers as arguments. It´s about what YOU think of a game not what somebody else thinks of it. BTW i´m leaning towards prototype.Not that inFamous doesn´t look good.

I dont have PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So that just stinks. I was realy hoping for it to be out on the X360! Well they might creat the X360 version soon,maybe.

Hobbitslayer18, the guy InFamous does get the ability to use electric blades if you get the code from gamestop when u pre order, its called gigawatt blades. this game def looks awesome and i agree with Rayanator about it being like two different styled games, i look forward to playing both. got both pre ordered woot woot!!!

nup i dissagree hobbitslayer18 sucker punch has done well 2 differentiate the play style of this game from prototype. this is more a third person shooter and is more an exprerimenting game than prototype. prototype i see as more a massive brawler. infamous looks 2 hav alot of choice in how ur powers develop and which way u want 2 take ur character in. the review on ign gave it 9.2 and wen i pre-oredered infamous it had quotes from gamespot on the display box. whilst prototype has no special quotes on the box at all. looks 2 me this is gunna be 1 hell of a game. PS3 all the way ps im getting both anyways

Prototype looks a lot better, his powers are way cooler than just these electric power. The guy in prototype can atleast morph his arm in different blade/blunt weapons, and use his environment as a weapon, like creating spikes out of the ground impaling everyone who is nearby. And he looks way cooler than this guy. The graphics from both games look good, so it will be hard to decide to buy which one. Going to wait till they review both games on gamespot before I'll buy one of them.

It will be interesting to see how well they have implemented the good/evil route through the game and the stories of the NPCs. In a way, these things interest me more than having kick-ass powers.

they only thing that i can knock this game with is the fact that if you fall in water you die because you electricute yourself or something right, so how come when you throw an electric grenade at your feet it does nothing? it would be better if you simply fry alot of fish that float to the top and jump out of the water but o well. apart from that i like it because it allows a range of power style attacks while with most fps's you cant have more than 1 or 2 good guns limiting your tacticall choices. also this Vs prototype well i think theyll both be good but for some reason im always drawn to inFamous i dont know why, mayby i dont like prototype being mostly a mele attack system compared to coles ranged electric attacks and when you get guns in prtotype they use auto lock and that ruins a game, theirs no skill just lock fire it does it for you ffs! also all the diff hand types, claws, blade, fists dont look like theirs much difference between them so whats the point? also while stealing others body looks good itll get very old, itll amuse for the first few goes then o well its not so speciall anymore. also since inFamous is ps3 exclusive while prototype is multi itll take more work to make prototype. i'll probly be getting both to see but im very cautious of how prototype will last, its shaking up to me to look like far cry2 with only 4 types of missions.

looks just like a shooter with lightning instead of guns, not knocking it, just dont know whats new about it..

People are exaggerating the detail of the textures and all. Almost looks equal in graphics to prototype. I´m leaning more towards prototype.
