James Gunn, who was fired by Disney from his role on Marvel's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, has a new gig. Warner Bros. has confirmed Gunn will write a new Suicide Squad movie, although beyond that, there are no further details on when to expect it or if it'll be a direct sequel to the previous film. It's rumored that Gunn may also direct the movie, but at this point, only his role as a writer has been confirmed. In an added wrinkle, Dave Bautista has seemingly suggested he's interested in joining the movie.
