Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies Ranked From Worst To Best

Avengers: Infinity War's release is nearly here. We're so excited that we've re-watched the entire saga and ranked our favorite films across the MCU.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is vast. With the release of Avengers: Infinity War, it will comprise 19 films, and even more are on the way. Attempting to create this interconnected series of films that both function on their own but also crossover with each other has been an ambitious undertaking. Infinity War will be the culmination of everything we've seen so far, introducing characters to each other--like Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy--who have yet to cross paths.

This will mean bringing together elements of the best and worst movies released since Iron Man in 2008. And to be clear, for all the great movies the MCU has generated, there have been some lesser entries as well. We've gathered the opinions and rankings of the GameSpot Universe team to assemble a ranked list of every MCU movie to date, from the aforementioned Iron Man up through 2018's record-breaking Black Panther.

It might not surprise you to see The Incredible Hulk come in at the bottom of our list. Although it's a part of the MCU, it's been somewhat forgotten due to a combination of its age, quality, and casting--it features Ed Norton as Bruce Banner, whereas subsequent films have featured Mark Ruffalo in that role.

You also may not be surprised to see the wide spread with the Thor movies. While the original and The Dark World have been maligned, Ragnarok proved to win over many with its more comical spin on the Thor character, drawing on the acclaimed Planet Hulk comics.

Check out the video for our full rankings and thoughts on each film, and be sure to let us know in the comments below what your favorites (and least favorites are). With so much to keep track of, we can also help you get prepared for Infinity War with a recap of the Marvel films to date. We also have some thoughts on who will live and die in Infinity War.
