Marvel's Spider-Man PS4 vs PS5 Comparison

Peter Parker gets a new look in the latest trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man on PS5, so we compare it to the 2018 version to see the difference.

Spider-Man Remastered for the PS5 is making a lot of visual upgrades to the acclaimed PS4 game, but one of the most noticeable is sure to be Peter Parker's new face. Insomniac announced that it replaced face model John Bubniak with Ben Jordan, to better match the facial capture performance from Yuri Lowenthal. The new actor looks a bit younger and more like Tom Holland from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Insomniac released an early cutscene to show off Peter's new face, and you can see it side-by-side with the original to choose your favorite Parker.

PS5/PS4 version Pros and Cons:

+ The PS5 has some improved textures such as in mirrors and carpets while the PS4 version has less saturated colors making levels look more natural such as in the construction site and street levels.

-- Low lit levels such as the Lab the ps5 version hides a lot of the background detail making the ps4 version look a lot better.

+ Higher Framerates on the PS5 makes the game run smoother.... But wouldn't the ps4 version run equally as good running on PS5 hardware???

-- Peter's new face is more "plastic" looking, lacking all the human facial expressions and detail from the original ps4 version.

Based on these findings the ps4 version is the Superior version out of the two.
