Metal Gear Solid's Story In 2 Minutes (Part 2)

I couldn't finish watching this. Misuse of grammar, not attention span.

It is nuCLEAr, not nuCULAr. You see, the word derives from "nucleus" meaning middle or core. Nuculus...well, I'm not sure what that is.

two parts @ 2 minutes = 4 minutes. So MGS in 4 minutes... Just saying... :)

Only gripe: its Outer Heaven, not HAVEN!!1!1!1! etc.

Otherwise, great vid, although I doubt those new to the series will really understand anything about it without a 3-hour lecture at least :/

The thing about MGS series is that, the music and graphics and gameplay and just the little awesome stuff about the game makes you not care too much about the complicated story.

Saying that though, the story isn't even that confusing. It's hard for those who haven't played the game from the very beginning.

For me, the beginning is METAL GEAR SOLID 1. But METAL GEAR SOLID 2 was the one for me which made me get hooked to MGS series. If you play that game, you will learn to appreciate what it was for a playstation 2 game. Thing is, people missed out on MGS2 because they were too busy playing other games like GTA or Crash Bandicoot.

Now no one will appreciate MGS because they might have only played MGS4 and thought.... that's that!

The way MGS series mixes real history facts with their own story and the comic feel to this game and the dialogues is what makes MGS soo awesome!

Also one of the first games to bring excellent cinema effect to their games, with intros, etc that no other game can match in my opinion.

Yes we have Assassins Creed and Tomb raider etc, but MGS was the very first tht introduced excellent characters and music!

I don't know why, but Lucy with an animal hat on was the cutest thing ever!!

Funny couple of episodes, but all I learned is don't try to understand anything about MGS.

My brain feels like that fat guy in Full Metal Jacket who gets held down on his mattress and beaten with soap.

I love Wednesdays now, thanks to these videos.

I haven't stated that fact yet.

It's funny, As far as Metal Gear characters go, I first thought /Naked/ Snake was simply Solid Snake, but stripped of all gear and tech, and had to hunt. Going off Ocelots age, I just figured they were around the same age. The story later cleared that up.

MGS1 & 3 are my favorites, so maybe 5 will be on the same level.

Seb is SOO ADORABLE!

The only cheap cop out cliche MGS series has lacked so far is time travel.

P.S. People casually saying "nucular"...

I hope Alex, Chris Harris, and Rowan Atkinson take over Top Gear - the show would be watchable again.

The main thing that I learned here is how much Kojima loves to retcon the story at almost every turn. It's like he had a randomized "but wait, that's not what really happened!" timer in his office that went off every few months during development.

What's the difference between Nuclear and Nucular? about 35 IQ points? Nuclear is the correct spelling the world over. Nucular is how Bush pronounces it because of too much cocaine in college.
