Mirror's Edge and Games About Movement

Loved the first game and can't wait to play the second. Many people hate the trial and error style gameplay and I hate it sometimes too but if the payoff is good enough and personally feel its possible to pull off then I'll do it. That's why I loved the timed trials because the execution had to be flawless but only over a short period of time which is doable for most people, like playing a song. To master a difficult song you practice short sections over and over then move onto the next section.

I'd like to see more videos like these, that analyze how games work and how they've evolved rather than the normal news/reviews that make up the meat of the site. The Point left a void here, and judging by this video, it seems like Kish could potentially fill it.

Mary has a very good rythym and pace to her speaking, and she is clearly knowledgable on the source material, but my god that vocal fry. I couldn't finish the video it was so distracting.

When she do a voice over bit i feel like she's a pro but when she perform in front of the camera i feel like it's her first day.

I like these videos that are about more than just the games themselves. Keep them coming. I wasn't a fan of Mary's narration though. Perhaps it's just me but I felt like there was a lot of slow talking, dragging words out, and pauses that want to create drama that doesn't exist and to me doesn't fit.

No way I'm buying this game after they hire Annita Sarkeesian, And I was a HUGE fan of the first one. This game could be good, but theres no way im spending any money on something that employs her. At best, Ill buy it when its 15 bucks used.
