I've always loved the Mount and Blade games, even if I took breaks from them occasionally, so I hope this one gives you even more choices than Warband.
Day one purchase. Taleworlds gives me so much hope for the gaming industry. They're like a throwback to the late-90s before the mega-corp companies gobbled up the industry. There were tons of small independent studios giving us amazingly innovative games. It's nice to see there's still some developers out there creating games with real passion.
Finally! I've been waiting for an RPG in this time period for a long time. I have wondered why so few games neglected the age of sword and plume. The 17th century featured many rich elements for game makers: war, intrigue, supernatural folklore (as late as the 1760s, French peasants believed in werewolves!), larger-than-life statesmen, pirates, nasty criminals, touchy duellists, rich architecture, and lavish costumes. I think most people have misconceptions about early firearms and are therefore gamers looking for medieval games are turned off by them. Muskets were not like the later repeating and semi-automatic rifles, but were inaccurate single-shot weapons fired in unit volleys. As late as the early 1700s, the Swedes used muskets only sparingly, preferring to charge home with the sword, the bayonet, and even the pike! Western armies that had by that time resorted to exchanging volleys were taken off guard by the Swedes' aggressive cold steel tactics. I've been wanting to read the novel, it will be interesting to see how the game incorporates Sienkiewicz's novel into the franchise.
So what? Put on some fancy clothes, bring up guns that probably not gonna be used by senior fans and make that another 50$? MB:Warband gotta be crying...
i think that having guns in the new one will be crap guns are SO boring just aim and shoot aim and shoot aim and shoot aim and shoot aim and shoot aim and shoot BORING that's y i hate COD it takes no skill to play it, i will still get it but when games like this go guns i loses it touch
Great!!! Looks like the game improved again...Played warband and it would have been awesome if RPGs like arcania and Two worlds 2 had the same fluid combat mechanics
