Yea, I played the Live10 demo and it's very solid. Every year my best and I rent both of the new basketball games and compare them together. Last year 2k9 won so I can't wait to see how close it gets this year. I'm always open minded and never shut out a game before I try it.

OMG OMG OMG I JUST PLAYED THE NBA LIVE DEMO LAST NIGHT I THINK THIS MIGHT POSSIBLY BE THE BEST BASKETBALL GAME I EVER PLAYED IM SORRY 2K BUT IM GOIN WIT LIVE THIS SEASON!!!!!

I think what people fail to see is, this live franchize is just a name, if you take off the title and let people play both games without seeing the ea or 2ksports logo 2k10 would win hands down, the problem is you have all these die hard live fans that wont give any other game a chance wethere its better or not. EA is in a bissness to make money so what do you do when you cant beat the competition, you buy them out so they cant make better games, like they did with thier football franchise they tried doing it a few years back but where unsuccessful, sure madden is the better football game but in comparison to what all pro football 2k9? EA over the years has become a giant in sports gaming only because of having exclusive rights to the majority of professional sports, they dont listen too consumer feedback they just do a roster update throw a couple of new features in like the crown waving towels or live "DNA" or anything else they can think up which will eventually be filled with bugs and what happens you spend less money developing your title so you end up with and up dated tittle thats not better tha your last. Example: Def Jam Fight For Ny to Def Jam Icon. EA has long abandoned what works and what will make thier games better, & only cares about the 120's per gamer that it will recieve for its the faithful madden and live fanbase, but when its all said and done 2k10 has overhauled thier engine every year to make thier game the most realistic basketball simulator up to date

nice improvements EA but 2K keeps my vote! Like everyone else says, we have to wait til the demos and games come out to see the truth though.

for all you people that say live is just now adding hustle plays and stuff, you are wrong yes they just brought it BACK, but you used to be able to dive and stuff for the ball in like 98... live is back this year, the graphics and and character models look much better than 2ks... have you seen 2k's kobe bryant... it looks like kobe bryant 30 years in the future or kobe's grandfather... this year both games will be something to play, but everyone knows 2k isnt bringing much new to the table its going to be more of 2k9 with more animations

well, looks like EA is really trying to smash the competition. I hope they do good this year unlike last year. Just got to wait till the demo to see what they are bringing to the table.

Live is finally starting to improve instead going down hill dis year...and this is coming from a loyal 2k fan...i haven't brought live in the last 10 years...don't get me wrong now i do tryout the live demo every year...whats different between the games are that live delivers what i would call a arcade basketball...I'm also Big NBA and gameplay is what matters to me....now the improvement they r adding in dis year live will give it dat real nba feel...but dey r late...dey must missed da memo dat came out a few years back..now dey playing catch up when dey were adding feature dey should have been adding to gameplay instead

And all of you sayin "yea yea 2k already had that", who cares?? Live's got it now and it won't do nothing but make the gameplay better. We not living in the past, We living in the NOW.

all lives needs to do is work on its signature play and it will beat live nba live graphics destroy 2k and always have what are people talking about even now go back and play nba live 2005 and the graphics are state of the art cmon now.....

wow people need to stop saying they just added what needed to be there before, you've got to be kidding me people criticize the game for not having it, so they add it then say well it should've been there before, wow they cant go back in time and change the past, at least they're adding it now

i know people are still hating on live, i too have been very disappointed and not at all impressed, but you have to be honest this definitely looks like a move in the right direction, the question is how will it work in a game and wether or not it all fits together, it will definitely be interesting, they better put out a good demo.

It the same engine they used in live 09 with a few gimmicks. They have to get rid of that engine

Damn, Live looks already better that Mike Wang is on board. Live 09 wasn't all that bad of a game IMO. I don't know what it is about this current gens NBA 2K games that I just can't stand. Something about it completely turns me off. Graphics look better then Live though, but I just can't stand the game. But I really want to try to like 2K10 this year, since all the homies are getting it since they prefer it. Shiet, even Kobe is on the cover. We'll have to see what's the better game once the demo/game comes out. I don't know why I just said all this crap. Just needed to let it out LOL.

No stupid gamicks yet like more FIBA teams, so far so good. Still i see this as no match for NBA 2K10. Hey why not improve the dunk contest aswell cause really its been a waste to have it in the game since NBA Live 06!?

So they added stuff to NBA LIVE 10 that NBA 2k9 already had last year? No wonder EA is behind in basketball. I'll still wait till a demo or the game actually comes out till I pass judgment on this game in particular though, it just seems like they added what should have already been there before.

I disagree, Inside Drive 2003 versus the field was highly overlooked (NBA Inside Drive 2002 and 2004 were duds, but 2003 was a great basketball sim...just check the ratings and from multiple sources). And I played the game title because I'm an eclectic and KNOWLEDGEABLE (consider your poorly constructed NFL Fever premise antiquated before it could ossify) gamer (and I had played Microsoft Game Studios' EXCELLENT Tennis Sim "TopSpin" prior, which drew my attention to the developers). And I wasn't accusing you of being a fanboy. The statement was directed more so toward the field (that's why I said, "People"). lol I swore I hit ENTER, my bad. So keep in mind EXACTLY what was being said to you, so don't shoot. And lmao, you have to watch baseball and hockey man; you don't know what you're missing. Go to a Capts game!

all you people passing judgement on a game youve never played. i understand live was bad in the past but what is the problem with live? the gameplay. why was 2k so good? the gameplay. the gameplay designer from 2k is now on board with live. so please shut up. you havent played either. ignorant people dont even know what your talkin about

Okay people stop trashing this game lets see what half of you guys are saying when it comes out and you try the demo. You'll be all like its good its good. Stop trashing it until you see what its like

@blackpanthermws, The only thing i am a fanboy of is the NBA. Who really cares about NBA inside drive 2003 and who in there right mind would've purchased such a horrible basketball sim over arguably the best live ever which happened to be NBA live 2003 which by the way was the introduction of freestyle controls. i rented both live and 2k back in 03 and i chose to purchase live because it was better at the time and 2k just seemed a bit on the slow side. I personally don't know anyone who preferred playing 2k over live back in 03 and NBA inside drive wasn't even in the discussion which is probably the reason why they haven't developed any titles since NBA inside drive 2004. Back to the point, I don't prefer 2k over live because im a fanboy i prefer it because its the best b-ball sim available. As far as NHL 09 and NHL 2k9 i really could give a damn because i would'nt watch a hockey game on TV or play a hockey video game if someone paid me 100k to do so and the same goes for MLB games in real life or home consoles. The last MLB game i played was the original bases loaded back on the original NES back in 88. The last hockey game i played was blades of steel also from 88 on the original NES. The only sports titles i play are NBA sims and NFL sims. Of course my only choice for NFL is madden but i really wish 2k could still make NFL games. You were probably a NFL fever gamer back in 03 if u played nba inside drive. NBA sims have gone to 2k sports since 06 because they have been better.

@2wo3eezy, NBA Inside Drive 2003 (by Microsoft Game Studios) featured this so called "hustle plays", where you're able to do things like diving out of bounds and saving the ball, first. PEOPLE, stop being overly captious "fanboys". Play EA's NHL 09 and then NHL2K9 and realize that 2KSports is not the end-all. Competition is better for sports titles (just look at football game titles and then the PATHETIC baseball titles), so hop-off the bandwagon.

Lets be serious for a few minutes ea. Hustle plays, Size ups, and Rebounds? This is what your designers call advancements? In every NBA2k dating back to 2k7 since the beginning of signature basketball has had players diving to save loose balls which NBA live 10 is just adding now and calling "hustle plays". Fancy dribbling while standing in front of defenders which live is calling "sizeups". Finally adding offensive rebounding animations and rebound tips , which by the way have been absent since NBA live 2005, and just calling it rebounds. NBA2k has had all these things from the beginning and do you still wonder why you guys are behind? Maybe next year you guys will hopefully get it right or maybe what you will do next year is finally add a shot stick and think of other innovations to steal from NBA 2k9. I am highly discouraged by this attempt at a basketball sim and if this and dynamic DNA are all NBA live has to offer i wont even rent it this year. I will just buy 2K just like i have done since 2K6.

It's good their revamping rebounds because they were garbage on 09, the chances of getting an offensive rebound were rare

So EA is saying that last year's game sucked and this one is going to make everything better. Big deal. They do this every year. Unless you only care about graphics, 2k is by far the best choice.

im always gonna be a fan of live but this year im gonna give 2k another chance though the last one i played was good it just felt like i was playing football with my friend no offense to 2k players

look at this guy, hes stupid wasnt he with the 2k series years back? He was like buy 2k buy 2k, now hes all like buy live buy live, what the heck? now hes stealing ideas from 2k.

I have to admit that Live did make some improvements this year but I still think that 2k has the better game play and runs more smoothly.
