@haanabi89: uhh, most of the time when a company enacts an embargo like this restricting info til after release it's the company trying to hide something or limit review time hoping for a misinformed and rushed review.....just saying....

this was part of what happened with Assassins Creed Unity.....did it help that game?? not in the long run.....the short term made a little money but in the end word of mouth hit and sales dropped, the next games in the series also suffered a drop in sales...thanks to unity being a new engine, more time building the engine and rushed production resulted in less than ideal game.....and they attempted to suppress info that was unfavorable.....meaning reviews....

everyone has a right to call BS on stuff that is BS like review embargo's.....

@darthrevenx: so you just wait for the review to come after the embargo is lifted if thats what you base your purchases off of. No need to be paranoid and make baseless assumptions of the games quality. GTA 5 had a review embargo and its not so bad is it?

@haanabi89: you have to look at reviews if you wanna know what you're buying.....

there's only so many games and IP's that can sell on name alone...like Mario sells, Zelda sells, Star Wars and Star Trek sell.....mostly.....Star Trek Online is the best Trek game in a long while but it had to work to get there......even DCUO is good and it had to work to get there.....and they're still tweaking that game.....

the point I was originally trying to make is slamming critique is bad cus it's critique that allows progress to happen and the more voices that are silenced the less chance we have for progress to happen.....

if nobody is saying the right things and all anyone hears is the wrong things then we end up right where we are.....in a industry too afraid to move into the next level, who sells innovation in the form of gimmicks and rehashed ideas we've seen for decades.......or even fix what wasn't broken, we see that a lot.....

Huge week for releases. Damage control for the wallet. I'll wait for major price drops on the Remasters. The only one I'm interested in immediately is ReCore. It's 15 hours if you just do the main story w no side quests.
