Plays Like...Mass Effect 3

@Madball357 Yeah Deus Ex is a very good game.But also Deus Ex Human Revolution is great.Modern but great.

@RPGLurker I do play new games too, and not so new RPGs that have a modern style like the Gothic series and Witcher series. Deus Ex comes to mind... See Deus Ex 1 is the perfect balance between action and RPG, the perfect hybrid. Don't get me wrong I did enjoy the ME series, for what it is (a shooter with some stats) I just don't think it has deep RPG elements, that's all. @bikram323 Yeah, I remember D1 and D2... not my cup of tea, but I give credit where it's due. However I get the feeling old Diablo fans won't be too amused when D3 is released...

@Madball357 Do not forget the games responsible for making RPG famous, like D&D, Diablo etc. As for me, Diablo 2 has one story, but many ways to play, like different classes and each class can have different specialization, giving a lot of replay value.

@Madball357 I know what you say and in a way I agree. I have played and finished Baldur's Gate 2, the first 2 fallouts and Planescape Torment and I love them.However because I like gaming I do not stick only to them and I want to try new games. See witcher series for example.

@RPGLurker It baffles me that someone with such nickname would make such a statement. The 'RPG elements' in the ME series are limited to choosing upgrades for weapons and biotics. All the enviroments are corridor-like linear, and the decisions you make through the dialog wheel have an impact only in which NPC you want to bang. Other than that, choice and consequence does not exist. If you are honest about RPGing you need to drop all that Skyrim/Fallout3/Dragon Age nonsense and play some games like Planescape Torment, the Baldur's Gate series, Temple of Elemental Evil, the first 2 Fallouts and Arcanum. And that's just for starters.

NOVA is halo. hell it even looks like HALO. Its NOT a Cover shooter, and DOESNT play like ME3

N.O.V.A. 2 is based on Halo.. Not Mass Effect

@# Madball357 Even if that was true, it is set in such a amazing "lived in" universe with diverse characters, story and depth that rival almost another game series out there....this makes it worth the trip alone.

Don't kid yourselves, ME series is just a railroad shooter with some stats and dialog 'choices' that don't really have any consequence to gameplay.

I've played these games. If Mass Effect is like these games then I should probably just return it now. Didn't realize it was going to be so bland and uninspired.

NOVA is definitely much more a Halo knockoff than it is a Mass Effect substitute.

nova 2 is iOS halo not mass effect, just sayin'
