Preacher Season 3 Episode 3 "Gonna Hurt" Breakdown!

Jesse gets to work paying off his debt to Gran'ma, Tulip finds God on the open road and Cassidy tries his best to stay out of trouble. Ryan and Gaj are back to break down Preacher Episode 3 "Gonna Hurt."

This week's episode of Preacher was mostly laying some groundwork for the season. Tulip finally got to have a full on chat with God, who was apparently counting on her messing up Jesse's plans in the last episode. They have a philosophical conversation about free will, and God tells Tulip that he has a pass/fail test in mind for humankind.

Meanwhile, Cassidy is still busy brooding over Tulip and fighting with Jesse, all while continuing to develop his bizarre friendship with TC. Cassidy and Tulip are having some understandable trouble trusting Jesse after his selfish actions from last season; that's becoming a problem now that Jesse has some very well deserved warnings for them about making friends with the Angelville crew. His most pressing advice is that it would be very bad for everyone if they find out that Cassidy is a vampire, but because of a bad combination of thirst and carelessness, Cassidy let the bat out of the bag.

Cassidy admitted outright that he refuses to leave Angelville without Tulip, and since Grandma's goal in life seems to be trapping Jesse in Angelville forever, with his friends out of the picture, she might help him with that via a love spell.

The next task for the Preacher trio is to get the hell out of Angelville, by whatever means necessary. For more details, opinions, and theories about the latest episode of Preacher, check out Ryan and Gaj's video above.
